Homeless Pets Can Get Lucky at Adoption Event
Braxton’s Animal Works to Host Adopt-a-thon March 19th

(MEDIA) March 10, 2006 – Animal lovers can help orphaned pets find homes on Sunday, March 19th at the “Get Lucky” adoption event at Braxton’s Animal Works in Wayne. Animal Rescue Foundation of SE PA, Inc. (ARF), is coordinating the event and showcasing adoptable pets from 11am to 3pm.

“We have some wonderful dogs and cats up for adoption right now,” says ARF volunteer Jen Coccodrilli.  “We rescue all breeds, shapes, ages and sizes, so there’s a little something for every pet lover to choose from.”

ARF rescues pets from area shelters that must euthanize when full.  All pets receive complete veterinary care, including spay/neuter, prior to adoption and paid for by ARF.  All pets reside in a home with a foster family until adopted into a permanent, loving home.

“Our adoption donation is just $150 for dogs and $100 for cats, and that includes all vet records,” adds Coccodrilli.  “You also experience the great feeling of knowing you saved a pet’s life when you adopt.”

If you already have a pet, you can support ARF by purchasing a t-shirt, hat or making a donation.  “We are an all-volunteer nonprofit organization,” says Coccodrilli.  “We have very little overhead and all of the funds we raise go directly to pay for vet care and promote adoption for homeless and at-risk pets.”

“We want to thank Braxton’s for hosting this adopt-a-thon,” adds Coccodrilli.  “They have been a great friend to rescues all across the area.”

Animal Rescue Foundation of SE PA, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Interested parties can learn more about the event by visiting www.arfsepa.com or calling ARF directly at (610)994-4300.
