Charity Garage Sale Seeks Donations
Funds raised pay for veterinary care for rescued pets

(MEDIA) April 5, 2006 – Animal Rescue Foundation of SE PA, Inc. (ARF) raised close to $2000 to help pay for veterinary care for cats and dogs rescued from area shelters at a recent charity garage sale. Items were donated from pet lovers all over the southeastern Pennsylvania area and were sold at great prices.

Since ARF is all-volunteer and has little to no overhead, every cent raised at the sale will go directly to benefit homeless and at-risk pets. ARF rescues pets from area public shelters that must euthanize when full. All pets receive complete veterinary care, including exam, vaccinations, testing, spay/neuter and any other needed care including surgeries and medications. All pets reside with a foster family until adopted, as long as that takes.

“We’re a 501(c)(3) public charity,” says ARF Director Jen Coccodrilli, “so the value of donated items can be tax-deductible.” “Every cent of what we raise goes directly to pay for veterinary care for rescued pets.”

ARF is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization solely dedicated to the welfare of homeless and at-risk pets. Interested parties can reach ARF at (610)994-4300.
