Free Microchip ID for All Pets Adopted in July
Animal Rescue Foundation Offers Service Free to Adopters
(MEDIA) July 1, 2006 – Animal Rescue Foundation of SE PA (ARF) is offering free microchip ID for all cats and dogs adopted from ARF in July.
This service, a $45 value, is a permanent chip implanted in the back of a pet’s neck. Adopters then register their address and phone number on the chip. If the pet is ever lost, the pet is scanned and the owner’s information will appear.
Microchips can help reunite pets and owners, plus prevent accidental euthanasia of owned pets at public shelters and SPCAs.
“This is a great offer,” says ARF volunteer Theresa Impriano. “For a $100 donation you’ll adopt a wonderful cat or dog that comes with complete veterinary records, plus the spay/neuter is included.”
ARF is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization that rescues cats and dogs from area public shelters and finds them permanent, loving homes. ARF serves the five counties of southeastern PA. Interested parties can contact ARF at (610)994-4300 or at www.arfsepa.com to visit ARF pets online.
