How Much is that Doggy in the…..Daycare?
Animal Rescue Foundation opens adoption center at local dog daycare

(MEDIA) January 29, 2007 – Hot on the heels of their successful “Home for the Holidays” adoption center, the Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) is partnering with Paws@Play dog daycare in Wayne to offer an adoption center at the daycare on the first Saturday of each month.

ARF is an all-volunteer organization that utilizes a network of foster homes to house pets – dogs, cats and bunnies - instead of operating a traditional shelter.

“Our volunteers rescue pets directly from public shelters that must euthanize when full,” says ARF director Jennifer Coccodrilli.  “An opportunity to have an ARF Adoption Center at Paws@Play makes it easier for people to meet our wonderful animals in foster care and to get them adopted into their forever homes.”

“I’ve absolutely love animals, which is why I opened the dog daycare center,” said Marta Komosienski, owner of Paws@Play. “But I’ve always wanted to somehow get involved with animal rescue and this is a perfect way for me to do that – partner with rescue groups and provide the space for them to showcase their animals for adoption.”

In addition to dogs, cats and bunnies, there will be rescue experts on hand at the ARF Adoption Center to discuss best practices for adopting a pet, training advice, and health tips. There will also be pet-specific merchandise for sale.

The ARF Adoption Center is open the first Saturday of each month from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Paws@Play: 133 Sugartown Road in Wayne, PA (610) 910-6048.

The Animal Rescue Foundation of SE PA, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated solely to the welfare of homeless and at-risk pets.  More information about ARF can be obtained at www.arfsepa.com or call (610) 994-4300.
