For Love of Dogs is a comprehensive pet sitting service serving Delaware County. Their mission is to be your pet's best friend and to make you and your "babies" as comfortable and happy as possible while you are away. The demands of today's careers and lifestyles are so time consuming that pet owners cannot get to our companions as often as we would prefer. For Love of Dogs will bridge that gap and see to it that your pet receives competent, loving, professional care in your own home. While you’re away, the For Love of Dogs team will provide a journal with daily entries (so you’ll know how your pet is doing), provide meals, treats and fresh water directed, they’ll provide 20-30 minutes of exercise or play plus other services including care of litterbox or ‘accidents’, water plants if directed, etc. They can also raise/lower shades, turn lights on/off and more to make it look like you’re home.

Why we selected Robin as one of our ‘Persons of the Year’: Robin is always ready and willing to offer her enthusiasm and support whenever a rescue or shelter needs help. Whether it’s encouraging her clients to adopt a rescued pet (we get lots of referrals through Robin!), getting dozens of her contacts to attend a dog walk, promoting an event, or donating her time and energy to make it happen, Robin is always there with a smile to lend a helping hand. Robin also assists foster homes with dog walks and pet care when needed. Robin also organized – on her own – a pet food drive to benefit local rescues, and ARF SEPA foster homes (and other rescues) were very grateful to receive the bags of cat and dog food she collected from her clients (please refer to the photo of Robin with all her donated food!). Robin remembers you; she remembers your pets and provides a fantastic service that provides peace of mind for area pet owners while they’re away.

About Robin: “I grew up on a large dairy farm in northwestern PA and have been in love with animals for as long as I can remember. My first dog was Toby, a rescue from a local farm, and I have never been without a pet since. After several years in the “corporate world” I knew in my heart that I wanted to open my own business and my love for animals dictated what that would be. I chose to start my own pet sitting and dog walking service, For Love of Dogs. I am currently owned by two incredible border collies, Buddy and Katie, who are the loves of my life.”
