In order to adopt from ARF- SEPA you will need:
Complete Adoption Process:
Below are the general procedures ARF follows for each adoption. Some steps may be combined or altered based on individual circumstances. Due diligence is done for the safety of our animals and we appreciate your compliance.
1. Potential adopters see below for options to request an application and then send it back completed via email.
2. ARF's email manager forwards applications to the foster home of the pet requested.
3. The foster home reviews applications and selects the application that best fits the animal.
4. The foster home contacts the applicant to let them know the application is being processed.
5. An ARF volunteer, usually the foster home, contacts the vet reference (if applicable) and may call personal references as well. After positive references a meet and greet can be set up.
6. After a successful meet and greet, a home visit is scheduled with the applicant.
7. Upon a successful home visit, an adoption can take place. This consists of completing an adoption contract, paying the adoption fee, and taking over as the animal’s caregiver.
*All completed applications that come into ARF will be notified when it is received. We are a band of volunteers and work as quickly as possible, your patience during this process is appreciated! At any point, if an application is not compatible with the adoptable animal the applicant will be notified by an ARF volunteer and another application will be processed as described above based on the best fit for the animal. For high demand animals an ARF volunteer will contact applicants to let them know that there are several applications to be reviewed. At this time ARF may suggest other available animals that may be a better fit for that applicant. ARF has the right to decline applications based on the animal's best interests.
