Foster & Volunteer Opportunities
ARF SEPA is an all-volunteer organization that utilizes a foster home network to house pets versus a traditional shelter building.  This keeps administrative costs very low.  We have no salaries to pay and little to no overhead expenses.  Funding directly benefits homeless and at-risk pets.  ARF SEPA is a private nonprofit organization and not part of any other shelter, SPCA or group.  We rely solely on donations from the public.

As an all-volunteer organization, we rely on our volunteers to fulfill many different positions.

Foster homes:  ARF's central location is online.  This means we do not have a facility in which to house animals or maintain.  All of our animals reside in foster homes.  This allows us to truly know an animal's personality and quirks before adopting it out.  The more foster homes we have, the more animals we can rescue.  The length of time an animal is in foster care varies greatly.  We ask our foster families to take care of the animal as their own until it is adopted.

Outreach volunteers: We have a great need for people to help with outreach events.  These are events where we can showcase available animals and raise awareness of ARF.  We always need people willing to engage the public and talk about the great work ARF does and promote our animals. ARF has 10-11 events a year that run from September to November then April to end of May. We need as many volunteers as possible for these events
